IMITATION

3 John 1:11 "Dear friend, do not imitate what is evil but what is good. Anyone who does what is good is from God. Anyone who does what is evil has not seen God."

We live in a hyper sensitive world. There is so much around us which can cause us to stray from what is important. To stray from the loving embrace of the Lord. To stray from our hearts. To stray from God's will for us. We constantly see negative images, people, situations. There are those who would love to pull us from the embrace, to snatch us from the mighty I AM. Do not do what they do, but rather show them how to be Christlike. Seek Him daily within the rubble of this world and know that if you face a situation which gives you that weird feeling in the pit of your stomach, it is most likely not from God. For God gave us every cell which makes us whole. He is responsible for having given us our body, soul, mind, and even emotions. That feeling you get is God speaking to you and telling you, "This is not of me, child. Do not walk into the evil ways of the world, but stand strong within my grasp." He will never leave you, never forsake, and has a full supply of love and grace for you always. How awesome is our God to never turn away from those who would turn on Him in a moment.
Father God, I pray that you will walk with each of us in our daily lives and when we are met with something which could turn us away from You, oh Lord, tighten your grip on us, and help us to see YOU in everything, and know how to turn from evil. In the name of your son and my savior, Jesus Christ, I pray for these your children. Amen.
