HE HEMS ME IN

Psalm 139:5 speaks 4 of the most beautiful words that may go unrecognized as you read, because they flow so beautifully into other words, as do all of the Psalms. Those four beautiful words are, "He hems me in." Think about those words for a moment. Think about the magnitude of those 4 simple words. He hems me in. He is before me and after me. It just gives me this warm fuzzy feeling. He thinks so much of me, that he stitches Himself around me so that I am like the poly-fill in a pillow, safely protected by the fabric hemmed around it. Protected from the dirt of the world. He hems me in. If we simply put Christ before us and after us in everything we do, how can we possibly do wrong?
If before each decision we make, or every thing we act on we say a prayer for strength, for wisdom, for grace, for whatever we may need right that moment and then offer a prayer of thanks for His faithfullness after...even if you didn't see the results you wanted, you saw the results He intended for you. He knows whats best for you and He hems you in. Are you embracing that? Are you allowing Him to hem you in? Are you including Him in everything you do, or are you picking and choosing the areas to be stitched up in?

Just a thought. :-)

It's my prayer that each of you will feel the warmth of God's "fabric" wrapped around you as He hems you in.
