THE PROMISE OF SONshine

This morning I was pulling out of the parking lot after dropping Spenser off at school, and I was thinking how dark and cloudy it was, when all of the sudden, I saw the sun peaking through. It literally looked like an eye looking down through the clouds, then suddenly it was covered over again, and I slumped down in my seat with an "oh well" kind of attitude, and drove off. Then as I pulled into the parking lot at work I realized that when I wasn't looking, the sun had come back out and was filling the sky. I didn't notice, because I was disapointed that I couldn't see it anymore, and I stopped looking for it, so when it came back out, I missed its beauty and splendor until it was so broadly covering the sky that I couldn't miss it.

We live in a world which is filled with darkness. But, even when we cannot see the SON shining through it, He is there, watching, waiting, wanting us so badly to seek Him and not stop looking. We need to realize that when we don't feel the presence of the SON shining on us, it is US not looking, because He is faithfully there. If we cannot see Him shining through the darkness, it is because we stopped looking for Him.

Someday (hopefully soon) the SON will be shining throughout the earth, claiming His rightful seat on the throne and I pray that you have already seen the SON shining through the clouds by then. I pray that you won't miss the beauty and splendor of His reign. Don't let the darkness consume you, seek the SON shine in everything you do.

In the loving grip of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ I leave you with this:

Revelation 1:7 Look, he is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see him,
even those who pierced him; and all the peoples of the earth will mourn because of him. So shall it be! Amen. (how appropriate...as I close, Third Day, Call My Name is playing on the Fish, which is on their Cd REVELATION! There are NO coincidences, JUST GOD)
